Shakespeare’s epic tragedy, “Hamlet,” comes to life at the Varsity Theater in downtown Carbondale May 4-6, as the students of Cobden High School continue their theatrical journey through the Bard’s canon.

Considered one of the most powerful tragedies in the English language, “Hamlet” is also widely regarded as both the best of Shakespeare’s works and the “perfect play.”

Davies Arnold Jr., age 90 of Cobden, died at 2:43 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born September 9, 1921 in South Dakota, the son of A. G. Davies Sr. and Lacey Connie Arnold. He married Betty Clare Sanders on December 25, 1955 in Corinth, Mississippi.</span></strong></p>
