Harry Joe Reynolds

Harry Joe Reynolds, a lifelong resident of Southern Illinois, died Friday, Dec. 19 after a short fight with an incurable cancer.  He died in the company of his loving family.

Harry, the younger son of William and Carriebell Reynolds, was raised in Dupo.  He served an enlistment with the Marine Corps, where he spent time overseas with an artillery unit and played for the Marine Corps' football team.  After leaving the Corps, he attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he walked on to the football team and played for one season.

Charles “Waylon” Heckes

Charles “Waylon” Heckes, 73, died Thursday, Dec. 25th, 2014 at 4:15 p.m. at his home in Wolf Lake. Charles was born June 9, 1941 in Anna, the son of George and Minnie Geneva Frogge Heckes. He married Judith Burke on Feb. 10, 1967 in Jonesboro.

He was a railroad mechanic for 20 years and also worked at Illini Ready Mix. He proudly served his country in the U.S Army.
