William "Bill" Davis

William "Bill" Davis, 89, of Anna, died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016 in the Illinois Veteran's Home in Anna. He was born March 6, 1926 in Centralia, the son of Ira George and Iva (Wilkerson) Davis. He married Glenda Treece in Arkansas.
He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Davis of Anna; three sons, Jack (Connie) Davis of Colorado Canon, Colorado, Randy (Emily Chamness) Davis of Anna, Bryan (Rene) Davis of Anna; son in law, Roger Jackson of Anna; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debbie Jackson; daughter in law, Donna Davis; sister, Bea Corzine; and three brothers, Johnny Davis, Lester Davis and Donald Davis.
He was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church. For many years Bill owned and operated Davis Shell in Anna. He served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna. He had a great sense of humor and would do anything he could for other people.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. John Cripps officiating. Interment was in the Casper Cemetery in Anna. Graveside military rites were conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Military Honors Team of Marion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation or the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
