Wildcats set to visit Sparta Friday night

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Anna-Jonesboro  Community High School football team is scheduled to travel to Sparta to play its final Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference Mississippi Division game of the season Friday, Oct. 16.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Game time is set for 7 p.m. The game will be aired on WIBH radio in Anna.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Bulldogs are led at quarterback by senior Andrew Kordys, 5-11, 170 pounds, a three-year starter, who was an all-conference selection last year in the Southern Illinois River-to-River Mississippi Division.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The top receivers are seniors Devin Brown, 6-0, 165 pounds, and Gabe Yearian, 6-0, 175 pounds. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The backfield workhorses have been junior Justyce Bulliner, 5-7, 225 pounds, and sophomore Jake Price, 6-0, 170 pounds.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Top offensive linemen are senior Bradley Kellerman, 6-4, 245 pounds, and Will Price, 5-11, 200 pounds.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The defense is built around three returning all-conference selections from last season in Price; seniors William Monroe, 6-4, 225 pounds, and Micah Bradshaw, 6-5, 195 pounds.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">There are 18 seniors and 14 returning starters from last year’s 4-5 squad on the roster.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Bulldog head coach Rob Kirk is in his 8th season.</span></p>
