Wildcats number six seed at Eldorado tournament

The Anna-Jonesboro Community High School boys' basketball team will be the sixth seed at  the 49th annual Eldorado Holiday Tournament, which is scheduled Dec. 26-28.

The Wildcats are scheduled to play host Eldorado at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26.

Meridian is the top seed in the tournament. The other seeded teams follow in order: (2) Harrisburg, (3) Massac County, (4) Fairfield, (5) Union County, Ky., (7) Carmi-White County and (8) West Frankfort.

Other teams competing are Gallatin County, Herrin, Hamilton County, Carrier Mills, Hardin County, Norris City-Omaha-Enfield, Galatia and the host Eagles.

If A-J wins on Thursday, it will play at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 27. If the Wildcats lose on Thursday, they will play at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

The consolation championship, fifth place, third place and championship games are scheduled to be played Saturday, Dec. 28.
