Virgil Lee Cochran
Virgil Lee Cochran, 86, of Cobden, died at 1:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at the Anna Rehab and Care Center.
He was born on Dec. 30, 1925, in Cobden, the son of Dennis and Esta Wiley Cochran.
He married Betty Louise Holderfield on Sept. 7, 1947, in Mounds.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Cochran of Cobden; two children, Jerry (Paula) Cochran of Anna and David (Kathy) Cochran of Cobden; one brother, Roy (Margaret) Cochran of Jacksonville; six grandchildren, Jason (Heather) Cochran, Wesley (Shanna) Cochran, Emily (Brandon) Waynick, Andria (Chris) Chapman, Chad Cochran and Brice Cochran; nine great-grandchildren, Mallory, Trevor, Seth, Caleb, Ethan, Cody, Riley, Tyler and Cierra Cochran; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Margaret Etherton.
Funeral services for Mr. Cochran will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, today, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with the Rev. Les Sinks officiating. Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Thursday, today, until the funeral hour.
