Variety of activities set during 2012 in Cobden

The Village of Cobden, the Union County Museum and the Cobden Community and Business Association announce the following events which are scheduled during 2012 in the Union County community:

Saturday, March 3. The Union County Museum and General Store in downtown Cobden are scheduled to open for 2012.

Saturday, May 5. A spring community yard sale is planned.

Friday and Saturday, Aug. 3-4. The Cobden Peach Festival is scheduled.

Labor Day weekend, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 1-2. The Shawnee Hills Wine Trail Festival is planned.

Saturday, Oct. 6. The Cobden Fall Fest Car Show is scheduled. Southern Counties Autos Unlimited plans to sponsor an annual car show. A fall community yard sale day is planned. The Union County Museum will have a special exhibit.

Saturday, Oct. 13. The annual Union County ColorFest is planned.

The Union County Museum plans to host its annual Christmas Bazaar Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 17-18; Friday through Sunday, Nov. 23-25; Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1-2; and Saturday, Dec. 8. The museum will close for the winter following the bazaar.

Saturday, Dec. 1. Cobden plans to host the community-wide Christmas in the Village celebration. Open houses and other activities are scheduled.
