U.S. Census Bureau
As the nation prepared to ring in a new year, the U.S. Census Bureau on Dec. 28 projected the U.S. population would be 324,310,011 on Jan. 1, 2017.
This represented an increase of 2,245,347, or 0.70 of a percent, from New Year’s Day 2016.
