Trico, Cairo scheduled to host girls’ regional play

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Trico and Cairo are scheduled to host Class 1A regional high school girls’ basketball tournaments Feb. 9-12.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">At Trico, the host Lady Pioneers are seeded No. 1, followed by Cobden, Elverado, Steeleville and Shawnee.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Monday, Feb. 9, at 7 p.m., Steeleville plays Shawnee.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 6 p.m., Trico plays the winner of Monday’s game. At 7:30 p.m., Cobden faces Elverado.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Thursday, Feb. 10, the championship game is set for 7 p.m.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">At Cairo, the host Lady Co-Pilots are seeded No. 1, followed by  Dongola, Joppa, Egyptian and Century.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The schedule for the Cairo regional follows:</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Monday, Feb. 9, 7 p.m., Egyptian vs. Century.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Tuesday, Feb. 10, 6 p.m., Cairo vs. winner of Monday’s game; 7:30 p.m., Dongola vs. Joppa.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Friday, Feb. 13, 7 p.m., championship.</span></p>
