Timothy A. Albrecht, 61, of Anna, formerly of Mundelein, passed away peacefully with several beloved family members at his side at 4:18 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015 at his home after a six month battle with colon cancer. Timothy was an avid fisherman and a Chicago Cubs and Bears fan his entire life. He looked forward to working carnivals on weekends in the summer and did so for 30 years.

He is survived by his beloved and devoted older sister, JoAnn M. Albrecht-Shaffar whom he lived with the last fifteen years; niece Kimberly D. Shaffar and great niece, Sophie E. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas Albrecht Jr; sister in law, Lynn Albrecht; and nephew, Mark A. Gray.

He was a kind, generous and loving man who would help anyone in anyway. His memories and laughter will be cherished and remembered forever. May he fly with angels and meet his creator, and have a wonderful time in heaven fishing with his father, and nephew.

Last rites were generously given by Father Federico Higuera of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna. The family would like to thank all of Timothy's doctors, nurses and caregivers, especially Stephanie Gibbs and Nicole Pitts for all their love, help and support during his last month at home.

Services will be held privately for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Albrecht family. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
