Team entries accepted for basketball tourney

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Team entries are being accepted for the area’s first Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, which is scheduled Aug. 8-9 at Arena Park in Cape Girardeau.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Teams of four can register by visiting www.macker.com/local/cape-girardeau-mo/. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The registration fee is $35 per person or $140 for a team of four. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The mail-in deadline to register is July 17; online registration deadline is July 20. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">All proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Girardeau.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Teams are computer-matched into male and female divisions within one of the following categories: junior, adult or top. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Age, height and experience of all four players are taken into consideration. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Teams will receive at least three scheduled games in each tournament, and an official referee is assigned to each game. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tournament has grown immensely since its inception. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Gus Macker tournaments are played in over 75 cities, with over 200,000 players, and 1.7 million spectators who come out to see the 3-on-3 competition and great family fun. </span></p>
