Tammie H. Bachtel-Curtis

<p class="p1">Tammie H. Bachtel-Curtis, 56, of Anna, and formerly of Ravenna, Ohio, died at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, in Anna.</p><p class="p1">She was born on Dec. 29, 1959, in Ravenna, Ohio, the daughter of JoAnn Haymaker.</p><p class="p1">She loved singing and listening to country music, tending to her garden of plants and flowers, and taking care of her beloved parakeets. Her favorite show that she enjoyed watching was "Walker, Texas Ranger." Her family said that her most favorite thing to do though was to spend time with her children and family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Anna.</p><p class="p1">She is survived by her two children, Brian H. Shipley of Jonesboro and Amber (Jerry Mickle) Tengel-Bachtel of Clarksville, Tennessee; siblings Darla Womick of Anna, Bob Haymaker (Judy) of Eldon, Missouri, Tom Haymaker (Nancy) of Ravenna, Ohio, Sandy McWhorter (Larry) of Anna, Jimmy Shipley (Sherry) of Jonesboro, Kenny Shipley of Murphysboro, Kimberly Brock of Jonesboro, Donna Schrader (Caleb) of Wolf Lake, John Shipley (Shavonna) of Jonesboro, Lisa McCain of Cobden and John Watson of Cobden; grandchildren Brian Haymaker and Paige Haymaker; a great-grandson, Christopher Trandel of East Cape Girardeau; and several nieces and nephews.</p><p class="p1">She was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn Haymaker; and her husband, Tom Bachtel.</p><p class="p1">Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with the Rev. Les Sinks officiating.
