Rally for the Cure golf scramble scheduled
Egyptian Country Club in Mounds plans to host a Rally for the Cure twoperson golf scramble on Aug. 6.
Rally is a grassroots program that works to spread awareness about breast cancer volunteer through organized golf, tennis and social events.
This year marks the first year Egyptian Country Club has rallied against breast cancer.
Egyptian has already started registering participants for the Rally event and invites the public to take part.
The day’s activities will include closest to the pin on hole no. 8, dice toss on no. 7, door prizes and much more.
Prizes will be awarded to the winner of the event and each participant will receive a goody bag with breast health information and other Rally items.
“We are proud to open our facility and host a Rally for the Cure event. The event is a fun way for us to bring together our members and the community to support an important cause while playing a sport they are passionate about,” Morrissa Clanahan, president of the board of directors, said in a news release.
In addition to mobilizing people behind breast cancer awareness, Rally events have generated over $77 million for Susan G. Komen.
Rally for the Cure is run by Condé Nast and is based in Wilton, Conn.
