Pennington pitches for Southeast
Adam Pennington, a sophomore on the Southeast Missouri State University baseball team this past season, finished with a 4-1 record with two saves and a 4.07 ERA. He had 37 strikeouts and 10 walks in 48.2 innings of work.
As a red-shirt freshman last season, he pitched 6 1/3 innings and recorded 12 strikeouts.
Pennington is a Shawnee High School graduate. He finished his high school career with a 29-5 pitching record with a 1.03 ERA. He was a first team all-state selection during his junior and senior seasons.
Adam’s brother, Todd, was an All-American at Southeast Missouri State and was drafted in the 46th round of the 2001 Major League Baseball draft by the Cleveland Indians.
