A-J releases fall sports schedules

Anna-Jonesboro Community High School has released its fall sports schedules.

The A-J boys’ golf team is scheduled to open the fall season by hosting the A-J Invitational on Monday, Aug. 21.

The A-J girls’ golf team begins its season at Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau on Tuesday, Aug. 22.

The A-J boys’ soccer team opens the fall season at home against Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau on Wednesday,  Aug. 23.

The Lady Wildcats’ volleyball team opens with a home match against Cobden on Thursday, Aug. 24.

The A-J football team kicks off its season on the road at West Frankfort on Friday, Aug. 25.

The newly reinstated A-J cross country team officially began practice this past Monday. Head coach Matt Denny said the team is still working on finalizing a fall schedule.
