A-J girls post third win in row
The Anna-Jonesboro Community High School girls’ basketball team posted its third win in a row with a 38-19 victory over host Benton Thursday, Jan. 23.
The Lady Wildcats took an early lead in the game and held on for the win. A-J held the Lady Rangers to a single point in the third quarter.
Mikayla Bundren had 17 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals to lead A-J.
Anna Hess added 7 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Kristin Edmonds had 6 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists.
Reagan Cruse had 6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and a block. Addison Denny had 2 points, 16 rebounds and a steal. Sydnie Ralls had an assist and a steal.
The Lady Wildcats, 17-9 overall and 2-4 in the Southern Illinois River-to-River Conference Mississippi Division, are scheduled to play Thursday, today, at home against Pinckneyville and Saturday at Sesser-Valier.
