Celebration set for A-J team, coach

Special memories will be shared this weekend when a celebration is held to honor an Anna-Jonesboro Community High School boys’ basketball team.

The celebration is planned Saturday night, Feb. 1, at A-JCHS.

The 1984-1985 A-J boys’ Elite Eight basketball team, along with Mike Crews. Crews was head coach of squad.

The team and the coach will be saluted during halftime of Saturday night’s boys varsity squad.

Junior varsity action tips off at 6:15 p.m. The varsity game is slated to start at 7:45 p.m.

Crews will be honored for his 39 years of dedication to the game of basketball and to the many athletes he inspired, on and off the court.
