Shirley Calvert

<p class="p1">Shirley Calvert, 79, of Wolf Lake, died at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2015, at her home.</p><p class="p1">She was born on Feb. 20, 1936, in Doniphan, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph Oscar and Oma Vaughn Crowell.</p><p class="p1">She married Jackie Ray Calvert on Aug. 4, 1968. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2014.</p><p class="p1">She was a CNA in the Anna-Jonesboro area with private duty for over 20 years. She liked to crochet, shop and fish. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God in Wolf Lake and Ware Pentecostal Church. She attended the Methodist Church in Wolf Lake.</p><p class="p1">She is survived by her five daughters, Jackie Voss of Wolf Lake, Tammy Tanner of Qulin, Missouri, Sharon Barringer of Anna, Sandra Moore of Anna and Vicki Tweedy of Wolf Lake; one son, Larry Wayne Dodson of Jonesboro; a sister, Charlotte Hartwick; 17 grandchildren, Darron Conway, Scott Conway, Donald Sheeley, Paul Sheeley, Johnny Sheeley, Robert Gore, Larry Gore, Jimmy Gore, Sam Gore, Jimmy Dodson, Michael Dodson, Christy Patton, Cindi Sweet, Tissa Calvert, Jackie Ray Calvert II, Ashley Calvert and Sierra Calvert; and 32 great-grandchildren.</p><p class="p1">She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jackie Ray Calvert; a grandson, Brandon Dodson; a special loved one, Johnny Dodson; sisters Cledius Williams, Alberta McGee and Thelma Dodson; and a brother, Talmage Crowell.</p><p class="p1">Funeral services were at noon Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro.
