Shawnee volleyball JV, varsity teams in action

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Shawnee High School volleyball team recently competed in three matches. The varsity squad went 2-1 in recent action and the JV squad went 3-0.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Shawnee varsity defeated Meridian 25-15, 24-26, 25-18. Chelsi Phelps led the way with 4 aces. Molly Lewis had 3 aces and 2 kills. Morgan Stevens had 2 aces and 5 kills. Madi Ellet had 2 aces and 5 kills. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Sierra Ramsay had 1 ace, 3 kills, 1 block, and 1 dig. Abbey Livesay had 6 kills.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The JV squad defeated Meridian 25-18, 25-16. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Chloe Kirkpatrick led the way with 6 aces and 4 kills. Chali Phelps had 3 aces and 1 kill. Livesay had 3 aces and 3 kills. Lewis had 1 ace and 4 kills.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The varsity squad lost to Murphysboro 13-25, 16-25.Stevens led with 2 aces, 3 kills, and 3 blocks. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Livesay had 1 ace. Lewis and Kirkpatrick had 1 ace and 1 kill each. The JV squad defeated Murphysboro 25-13, 16-25, 15-11. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Abbey Livesay had 2 aces and 2 kills. Lewis had 1 ace, 4 kills, 1 block and 3 digs. Kirkpatrick had 1 ace, 2 kills and 3 digs. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Payton Trammel had 1 ace, 2 digs, and 1 kill. Julian Harris had 1 ace and 1 dig. Chali Phelps had 1 ace.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The varsity squad defeated Dongola 25-18, 25-13. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Stevens led with 4 aces and 1 kill. Chelsi Phelps had 1 ace. Livesay had 1 ace and 3 kills. Lewis had 1 ace and 6 kills. Ramsay had 6 kills.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The JV beat Dongola 25-14, 25-12. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Kirkpatrick had 6 aces, 5 kills and 1 dig. Lewis had 1 ace and 6 kills. Ellet had 1 ace and 5 kills. Chali Phelps and Livesay had 1 ace each.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Shawnee varsity squad’s record improved to 8-8 in regular season play and 8-4 in conference play. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The JV improved its regular season record to 11-5 and to 10-2 in conference.</span></p>
