Shawnee tops Dongola in volleyball

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Shawnee High School’s volleyball team defeated Dongola in its second game of the season after falling to Trico in the season opener a week earlier. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Shawnee junior varsity pulled out a win in two games, with scores of 25-13 and 25-12. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Shawnee’s varsity team won in two games as well, with scores of 25-16 and 25-22. The stats are as follows.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">In the JV game Abigail Livesay and Chloe Kirkpatrick led the way for Shawnee with 6 aces each. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Chali Phelps had 4 aces, Payton Trammel 3 aces, and Julian Harris 2 aces. Livesay led with 5 kills, Molly Lewis 4 kills, and Harris 3 kills. Kirkpatrick had 1 block.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">In Shawnee’s varsity game Morgan Stevens led with 4 aces, Sierra Ramsay 2 aces, Lewis 2 aces, Kirkpatrick 2 aces, and Chelsi Phelps and Livesay had 1 ace each. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Lewis led with 4 kills, Ramsay 3 kills, Stevens 3 kills, and Kirkpatrick and Livesay 2 kills. Lewis led with 3 digs and Harris had 1 dig.</span></p>
