Shawnee High School girls post 1-2 record in recent play

<p class="p1">The Shawnee High School girls’ baskeball team went 1-2 in recent action</p><p class="p1"><strong>Shawnee 40, Egyptian 30:</strong> Drew McLane scored 12 points to lead the host Lady Reds to the win Monday, Dec. 14.</p><p class="p1">Madi Ellet added 9 points, Autumn McMahan 8, Morgan Stevens 6, Abbey Livesay 3 and Brittney Abercrombie 2.</p><p class="p1">Shawnee built a 10-5 first quarter lead and was ahead 18-9 at the half. </p><p class="p1"><strong>Meridian 51, Shawnee 26:</strong> The visiting Lady Bobcats pulled ahead early on their way to the South Egyptian Conference win Thursday, Dec. 10.</p><p class="p1">Meridian led 15-7 after one quarter and 22-19 at the half. The Lady Bobcats made an 18-4 run in the third quarter to take a commanding 40-23 lead into the final period.</p><p class="p1">McLane scored 11 points to lead the Lady Reds. McMahan added 9 points and Alexis Charles and Ellet had 3 apiece.</p><p class="p1"><strong>Chester 63, Shawnee 36:</strong> Chester had a big second quarter on its way to a 63-36 win over visiting Shawnee in non-conference action Wednesday, Dec. 9.</p><p class="p1">The Lady Yellowjackets led 12-11 after one quarter before going on a 22-9 run in the second quarter to build a 34-20 halftime advantage.</p><p class="p1">McLane had 15 points to lead the Lady Reds. McMahan added 9 points,  Charles 6, Abbey Livesay 4 and Ellet 2.</p><p class="p1">Shawnee, 3-5, is scheduled to play Thursday, today, at Elverado.</p>
