Shawnee girls go 1-2 at Lady Bobcat Classic

<p class="p1">The Shawnee High School girls’ basketball team finished 1-2 in the Lady Bobcat Classic at Meridian which wrapped up Nov. 22.</p><p class="p1"><strong>Meridian 48, Shawnee 27:</strong> Drew McLane scored 12 points to lead Shawnee in the loss in the final game Nov. 22.</p><p class="p1">Amanda Goodman added 6 points, Abbey Livesay 5 and Alexis Charles and  Madie Ellet 2 each.</p><p class="p1"><strong>Dongola 50, Shawnee 42:</strong> McLane led the Lady Reds with 20 points. Livesay added 9 points, Charles 8 and Ellet 5.</p><p class="p1">Kyeli Flores led the Lady Demons with 19 points. Brenna Newman and Tiffany Shirkey added 8 points apiece, Mackenzie Prout 6, Cassondra Gorst and Callie Mowery 3 apiece, Karlie Eddleman 2 and Delaney Cummins 1.</p><p class="p1">Shawnee, 1-2, is scheduled to play Thursday, today, at home against Steeleville. Dongola plays in the Cairo Round Robin tournament this week. </p>
