Shawnee baseball team goes 2-1 in recent action

<p class="p1">The Shawnee High School baseball team posted a 2-1 record in recent action.</p><p class="p1"><strong>Shawnee 3, Chester 2:</strong> Nick Crane and Michael Crane were each 2-for-4 to lead the host Redskins to the non-conference win Monday, March 30.</p><p class="p1">Hunter Smithey was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Shawnee.</p><p class="p1">Nick Crane was the winning pitcher, scattering 7 hits.</p><p class="p1"><strong>Herrin 13, Shawnee 4:</strong> Nick Crane was 1-for-1 to lead host Shawnee’s hitting in the non-conference loss Tuesday, March 24.</p><p class="p1">T.J. Foeste was 1-for-2  with an RBI for the Redskins.</p><p class="p1">Foeste and Smithey pitched in the loss, combining to scatter 12 hits.</p><p class="p1"><strong>Shawnee 8, Zeigler-Royalton 6:</strong> Nick Crane, Smithey and Shane Burdick were each 1-for-3 to lead the visiting Redskins in the win Monday, March 23.</p><p class="p1">Logan McMahan and Nick Crane pitched in the win, combining to scatter 5 hits.</p><p class="p1">Shawnee, which improved to 3-2 overall, is scheduled to play Thursday, today, at Goreville.</p>
