School filing ends
Filing for April 2011 board of education elections in Union County school districts ended Monday, Dec. 20.
Elections are scheduled next spring in all seven of the county's school districts.
Here's a look at who filed:
Lick Creek School District 16: Five positions are open on the board. Incumbents John A. Basler, Boyd Holshouser and Allen Plott filed for reelection. Gregory George also filed.
Cobden School District 17: Three positions are open on the board. Incumbents Tracie Moore and Gerald Britt filed, as did Lisa Tomazzoli and Janet Childers.
Anna School District 37: Four positions are open on the board. Incumbent Jim Cross and Roger Waller filed, as did Brandon Bierstedt and Gayle Miller.
Jonesboro School District 43: Three positions are open on the board. Incumbent Jonathan D. Vicenzi filed, as did Angela R. Bowen, Robert W. McAlister, Billy Alsip and Gail Short.
Dongola School District 66: Three positions are open on the board. Incumbents Philip Miller and Mark Eddleman filed, as did Wayne Brown, Wesley Hinkle, Richard Micheal, Mary Gibson and Greg Brown.
Anna-Jonesboro Community High School District 81: Four positions are open on the board. Shane Osman and Dr. B.J. Reach, both incumbents, filed for reelection. Also filing were John Hughey, Seth Plott and Tim Ritter.
Shawnee School District 84: Three positions are open on the board. Incumbents Steve Brown and Tim Lewis filed, as did Randy Ellet and Angie McMahan.
