Samuel C. Grear, 66, of Millersville, Missouri, formerly Jonesboro, died at 9:31 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015 in the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He was born Feb. 8, 1949 in Anna, the son of Samuel J. and Connie Grabow Grear. He married Jane Hileman on Sept. 23, 2000 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Grear of Millersville, Missouri; two daughters, Emily Grear (Joe Raper) of Henderson, Nevada, Sarah Grear (Tom Chung) of LaHabra, California; one son, Eric Franklin of Bertrand, Missouri; six grandchildren, John Hendry, Jayden Hendry, Allie Grear, Kaden Chung, Kassidy Raper and Madison Raper; mother in law, Nevada Hileman of Anna; two sisters in law, Donna (Dale) Treece of Jonesboro and Letitia (Doug) Simmons of Anna; one brother in law, Warner Jr. (Jane) Hileman of Cobden; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and father in law, Warner Hileman Sr.
He was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in Jonesboro. He was a Pharmacist for many years at various pharmacies in the Cape Girardeau area. Samuel was an avid motorcyclist and loved to travel, recently riding his motorcycle 6,000 miles to Alaska. He loved his family, his children and grandchildren were very dear to his heart.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Jim Whiting officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or P.A.W.S. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
