Ruth Lorene (Suzy) Dillow

Ruth Lorene (Suzy) Dillow, 92, of Effingham, and formerly of Anna, died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, March 28, 2010, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham.

She was born on March 14, 1918, in Jonesboro, the daughter of Phillip E. and Esther Reischauer Kollehner.

She married Fount E. Dillow on Sept. 19, 1936, in Vienna. He preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 2001.

She is survived by one son, Gary (Peggy) Dillow of Effingham; three grandchildren, Tim (Angie) Dillow and Jim (Chris) Dillow, both of Effingham, and Debra (Bill) Henning of Kansas City, Kan.; six great-grandchildren, Blake and Alex Henning, Ashlyn, Jamie, Hannah and Thad Dillow.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fount; and one brother, Robert E. Kollehner.

She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Mattoon and a graduate of the Anna-Jonesboro Community High School class of 1935.

Funeral services for Ms. Dillow will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, today, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Jerry McGill officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery.

Friends can call after 11:30 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday, today, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
