Ruby Keller Youngblood
Ruby Keller Youngblood, 94, of Dongola, and formerly of Madison, Tenn., died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 4:06 p.m. at Jonesboro Rehab and Care Center.
She was born on Oct. 4, 1918, in Dongola, the daughter of Herman Cecil and Mina Melinda Lingle Keller. They preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her second mother, Inez Kesler Keller.
She married Luther Herbert Youngblood on June 16, 1936. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2000.
She was a member of the Madison Heights Baptist Church in Madison, Tenn. She had worked as a nurse at Parkview Hospital in Nashville for over 25 years. She liked flowers and cooking.
She is survived by one son, Bobby Ray (Barbara) Youngblood of Dongola; one daughter, Melinda (Elliott) Cathey of Gallatin, Tenn.; three granddaughters, Vickie (Jon) Peeler of Goodlettsville, Tenn., Stephanie (Rob) Mannon of Gallatin, Tenn., and Deena (Tony) Rendleman of Murphysboro; two grandsons, Gary (Patricia) Youngblood of Dickson, Tenn., and Neil (Annie) Wright of Gallatin, Tenn.; 15 great-grandchildren, Brandi Rai (Kyle) Cole, Lauren Bryson Peeler, Ryan Spence Youngblood, Madeline Marie Peeler, Malak Noel Mannon, Miah Nicole Mannon, Angela Henke, Kevin (Kayla) Van Conant, Lane Kuhn, Logan Kuhn, Cory Anthony Swink, Terry Caleb (Michelle) Swink, Jordyn Rendleman, Johnny Rendleman and Jared Rendleman; two great-great-grandchildren, Charli Swink and Dayton Kuhn; and two sisters, Launda (Forest) Pender of Dix and Fae Bankert of Dongola.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Luther; an infant brother, Loren Carl Keller; and three sisters, Joy Keller Boch, Colleen Keller Slusher and Beatrice Keller Dillow.
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 23, at 3 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola with Paul Sadler officiating.
Funeral services will be Thursday, today, at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Goodlettsville, Tenn. Friends can call after 10 a.m. until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
