Royal Race, family fun run slated in Anna

<p class="p1">The first Royal Race 5K and 1-mile family fun run are planned Aug. 22</p><p class="p1">The events are scheduled to get underway at 8 a.m. </p><p class="p1">All contestants who register by Aug. 10 will receive a free t-shirt.</p><p class="p1">The registration fees are $30 for the 5K and $15 for the family fun run.</p><p class="p1">All proceeds will benefit the Union County Fair queen pageant.</p><p class="p1">Ages 5 and up are welcome to run. Children under 5 are welcome in strollers and free.</p><p class="p1">Organizers note that only preregistered paid runners will receive a t-shirt.</p><p class="p1">For more information about the event, contact 2014 Union County Fair queen Abby Miller at 618-614-0650.</p><p class="p1">Registration packets are available at Coad Chevrolet-Buick in Anna and at Mac's Pizza on South Main Street in Anna.</p>
