Registration planned for ColorFest pageants

The eighth annual Union County ColorFest pageants are planned Friday, Oct. 11, at Jonesboro School.

All Union County girls ages 3 to 10 are welcome to sign-up. 

There will be two pageants: 5-6 year olds are in the Little Miss Pageant and 7 to 10 year olds are in the Miss Pageant. 

No pageant dresses needed, the girls will wear casual fall attire. 

Registration is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at the Jonesboro Fire Department.

The fee is $45 per entry; there are discounts if a family has more than one child who wants to enter. 

Each participant will receive a trophy.  The overall winners will receive a prize, trophies and a crown.

The contestants are judged on stage presence, beauty, personality/question and answer and fall attire. 

There will be a 3-4 year old Baby Miss ColorFest Promenade as a form of entertainment between the two pageants. 

The entry fee for this group will be $35 per girl.  Each entry will receive a trophy. 

Certificates will also be given for best smile, stage presence and fall attire.

Practice times and all other information will be given out at registration.
