PAST planning for annual spring luncheon, quilt show

The PAST group of Union County is gearing up for its annual spring luncheon and quilt show. 

“Through the Seasons: A Glimpse of the Past” is planned Saturday, April 14,  in the Family Life Center of Anna Heights Baptist Church at 100 Turner Ave. in Anna. 

A quilt exhibit will open at 9 a.m., followed by a luncheon at noon. 

Following the luncheon, a quilt turning and a program featuring Marlene Rivero of Mounds are planned.

Rivero will present a monologue portraying the seamstress of Mary Todd Lincoln. 

Quilt and table settings are being accepted.  To submit a quilt (and a story about the quilt), contact Barbara Bauer at 833-3228. 

Persons interested in providing table settings, or making reservations for the luncheon, are asked to contact Sharon Laster at 833-6589. 

Table settings can reflect a season of the year (spring/summer/fall/winter), a “season” in a person’s life (such childhood, marriage, special occasion/event, travels, career) or a “season” in the country or community.

Admission donations will be $10 to view quilts and table exhibits (from 9 a.m. to noon) or $25 donation for the exhibits, luncheon and program.
