PAST board works on plans for local tours, carols event
The September meeting of the board for the PAST organization of Union County was a busy one as chairpersons reported about final details of upcoming projects.
Barbara Bauer, Susan Whitemountain and Lee Hackney showed proofs of the ColorFest walking tour books featuring West Railroad Street (now West Vienna Street) in Anna.
The completed books are for sale at Country Cupboard and in the display case at This ‘N That on S. Main St. in Anna.
Holly Wohlwend reported that there has been a change in the sites for the historic home tour, which is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17.
The tour will showcase four historic structures:
The former Lingle School at 4290 Lingle Creek Rd., which is currently the home of Tyler and Kasey Clutts.
The home of Joel and Marie Dallas at 406 W. Spring St., Anna.
The home of Bob and Elaine Crain above Crain Funeral Home at 135 W. Vienna, Anna.
The historic First Baptist Church at 409 Morgan St., Anna.
Elaine Crain reported that there will be a December wedding at St. Anne’s Church.
The popular Carols at Candlelight event is planned at the church at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2.
