Orbie Lee Morrison

Orbie Lee Morrison, 65, passed away at 3:10 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2009, at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Carbondale.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the cemetery. Meredith Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born on Monday January 17, 1944, to Elmer Clyde Morrison and Marchie Mae (Guill) Morrison.

Survivors include two daughters, Melanie Morrison and her fiancé Jason Brown both of Anna, Belinda Hickam of Cobden and her boyfriend Mike Flores of Bellville; four grand-children, Lindsey Morrison of Cobden, Jacob Blakley of Anna, and Alexa and TJ Macy also of Anna; two brothers and sister-in-law, Edward Morrison of Carbondale and JD and Shirley Morrison of Cobden; and a special niece Diana Morrison.

He is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Thomas, Elzie, and Elton Ray Morrison.

Orbie was a self employed carpenter who enjoyed the outdoors with hobbies that included fishing and hunting.  He also love to take in the excitement of air shows.

Memorials may be made to P.A.W.S. and will be accepted by the funeral home staff.
