Fall...in a word... Wow
Several times last week, while motoring back and forth to The Paragraph Factory, I couldn’t help but notice the fall display of colors which Mother Nature has created.
One word came to mind... Wow...
With that in mind, this week we’re offering a few reflections about autumn (or fall) featured in an online article headlined “55 Fall Quotes to Remind You Just How Beautiful the Season Is,” which I ran across on the countryliving.com website. There’s even a quote from one of my favorite authors, Unknown. Enjoy...
From Winnie the Pooh in “Pooh’s Grand Adventure”: “It’s the first day of autumn! A time of hot chocolatey mornings, and toasty marshmallow evenings, and, best of all, leaping into leaves!”
L.M. Montgomery: “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” (Me, too...)
Unknown: “Autumn is the season to find contentment at home by paying attention to what we already have.”
Hal Borland: “Two sounds of autumn are unmistakable…the hurrying rustle of crisp leaves blown along the street…by a gusty wind, and the gabble of a flock of migrating geese.” (Guess I know now that a gaggle of geese gabble...)
Stanley Horowitz: “Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting, and autumn a mosaic of them all.”
Joe L. Wheeler: “There is something incredibly nostalgic and significant about the annual cascade of autumn leaves.”
Could not have said any of this better myself. Just could not. Hope you’ve had your own Wow moment this fall...
