Dora Marie Johnson, 86, of Anna, died Thursday, May 16, 2019. She was born on Feb. 4, 1933, in Jackson County, the daughter of Charles Logan and Etta Marie Duty Johnson.
She is survived by her brothers, David (Pat) Johnson of Jackson, Mo., and Dorris (Joyce) Johnson of Anna; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Virginia Glasco; and two brothers, Francis Johnson and Logan Johnson.
She was a lifelong member of the Anna Church of the Nazarene. She worked for the International Shoe Company and the Florsheim Shoe Factory for 42 years until her retirement. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes in her free time.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, May 20, at the Anna Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Larry Barnhart and the Rev. Randy Wright officiating. Interment was in the Alto Pass Cemetery.

Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna was in charge of arrangements.W. Sue Hall, 83, of Carbondale, died Thursday, May 16, 2019, at The Landings in Carbondale.
She was born on Aug. 7, 1935, the daughter of Charles and Selma Temke Brown in Olmsted.
She married Cletus Robert Hall on June 3, 1956, in Olmsted. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1996.
She did many things over her lifetime. She was a housewife, law secretary, interior designer and political secretary. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Carbondale.
She was involved in many organizations and committees over the years, including Jackson County Republican chairwoman, Beta Sigma Phi, Asburian Committee, Prime Timers and Feed My Sheep Committee and the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale Auxiliary.
She is survived by her two daughters, Candace Smith and husband Jeff of Carbondale and Melanie Pitts and husband Wesley of Wolf Lake; grandchildren Kelly Clark, Tracy Parmer, Cassie Sharp, Samantha Smith, Benji Smith, Clayton Smith and Madison Pitts; great-grandchildren Austin and Miranda Smith, Alec, Noah and Evan Parmer, Addilyn and Hunter Clark, and Riley and Amelia Sharp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother and a sister.
Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale, with the Rev. Alan Rhein officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale.
Memorials can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the Alzheimer’s Association.
The family thanked the staff of The Landings for the beautiful and loving care that she received while living there. The family gave special and loving thanks to “Martha” Rendy Luckett.
