Vicki Sue Glasco Escue

Vicki Sue Escue, 69, of Makanda, died Thursday, May 16, 2024, at home. 

She was born on May 13, 1955, in Anna, the daughter of Gary and Ginger Sue Ward Glasco. 

She married Ernie Lee Escue on May 6, 1994, in Wolf Lake.

She was a devout Christian. She was a member of Purpose House Church in Herrin. She valued spending time with her friends. 

She was an animal lover; she homed countless dogs and treated them like family. She loved caring for her houseplants with her green thumb.  

She is survived by her father, Gary Glasco of Wolf Lake; her husband, Ernie Escue of Makanda; children Scott (Mickelynn) Escue of Cobden, Jamerson (Fatima) Escue of Conway, S.C., Jada Escue and significant other Sam of Makanda and Stephen (Hang) Escue of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; grandchildren Jaylyn Kelley, Ryan Kelley and Maci Escue; a brother, Kerry (Sandy) Glasco of Jonesboro; sisters-in-law Sharalyn, Kathy, Debbie and Tina; brother-in-law Lonnie; beloved pet Nugget; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her mother; son David Brandon Carroll; father and mother-in-law Everett and Barbara Escue; and many of her beloved dogs.

Graveside services for Vicki Sue Glasco Escue were at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 23, at the Jonesboro Cemetery, with Pastor Jason McKinnies officiating.
