Tony Slusher

Tony Slusher, age 65, of Anna, formerly of Ullin, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

He was born on March 23, 1960 to Richard and Ruth (Sitton) Slusher in Cairo, Ill.

Tony had worked as a machinist until he became disabled.

Survivors include his sons, Eric Slusher and Buddy Slusher; grandchildren, Luke Slusher, Kaleb Slusher, and Kevin Slusher; brothers, Gary Slusher and Jack (Christina) Slusher; one sister, Tina Peterson; along with nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Luke Slusher; granddaughter, Haleigh Slusher; and brothers, Richard Allen Slusher and Earl Wayne Slusher.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Enloe Clemons officiating at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin.

A Private Inurnment will be held at a later date at Ullin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to Crain Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.

The cremation of Tony Slusher will be personally handled by the staff of Crain Funeral Home.

Crain Funeral Home in Ullin is in charge of arrangements.
