Tommy Joe Walker

Tommy Joe Walker, 79, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, at his home. 

He was born on March 12, 1945, in Anna, the son of Glen Eugene and Olive Ferne Walker.

He is survived by his friends, Brenda Noble and Brent Hileman and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Florsheim Shoe Factory in Anna and later at Ensign Bickford. He was a talented woodworker and skilled mechanic. He was an avid reader and collected books.

Graveside funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, at the Jonesboro Cemetery. Graveside military rites were conducted by Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna. Interment followed.
