He was preceded in death by his parents.
Steven was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Goreville. He was a man of great faith and loved his Lord and Savior.
He loved his family beyond measure; spending time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephew was always the highlight of his day. Whether it was giving them rides on the tractor, letting them drive the old pick up in the pasture, playing games or just having a good laugh, he loved time with his family.
Steven was a hardworking man, farming and ranching in his early years and later he drove a truck. Work kept him busy most days but in his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering with the tractor, going fishing, or hiking in the woods with his grandchildren.
His fun-loving nature and sense of humor made for great storytelling when there was an ear to listen.
Memorial services will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Pentecostals of Lick Creek, C.E. Sullivan Family Center at 3970 Goreville Road, Goreville, Illinois 62912.
