Scott David Rothschild
Scott David Rothschild, 59, of Anna, died unexpectedly on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, at his home.
He was born on July 14, 1964, in Brookfield, Mo., the son of David and Kay Penninger Rothschild.
He is survived by three children, McKenna (Alex) Jacobs-Montes of Midland, Texas, Raquel Rothschild (Braden) and Jared Rothschild; grandchildren Braylynn, McKinley and Alexandra; his parents, David and Kay Rothschild; sister Mary (Tim) Rothschild-Adams of Jackson, Mo.; nieces Katlyn Frey of Carbondale and Jocelyn (Andy) Brackett of Colorado Springs, Colo.; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; a nephew, Colter Frey; special uncles, aunts and cousins.
Mr. Rothschild was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna. He graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1982.
In his working career, Mr. Rothschild was a sales representative for dental equipment throughout the United States. While living in Phoenix, he owned his own sales company before moving back to Illinois.
He was a man of many talents and interests. He enjoyed bike riding across the country with his friends. In his early years, he raced as a pro in the flat track series.
He also enjoyed hunting and working on the farm. Above all, he would like to be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, son and brother.
Funeral services for Scott Rothschild were at noon Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Pastor Mark Hasty officiating. Interment followed in the Anna Cemetery.
