Sarah A. Boyd

Sarah Adeline Boyd, 92, of Anna, died Monday, May 13, 2019, at Union County Hospital in Anna. 

She was born Oct. 23, 1926, in Anna, the daughter of John Henry and Grace Lyerle Miller. 

She married the love of her life, Dennis Boyd, in Union County on Feb. 24, 1945. He preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2007.

She is survived by one son, John F. Boyd of Anna; other relatives and friends in Union County and Scott City, Mo. She leaves a Pug named Sadie; and three cats, Jack, Blu and Guyson. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dennis Boyd; and two brothers, James “Bud” Miller and Harold Eugene Miller.

Mrs. Boyd was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Anna. Although her main job was a housewife she worked various part time jobs as she traveled around the United States with her husband Dennis, who was in the U.S. Navy and worked as an air traffic controller for the FAA for over 30 years. She also was a member of the American Legion.

Funeral services will be at Trinity Lutheran Church on Thursday, today, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Tim Weiser officiating. 

Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery near Dongola.
