Ruth Anne Kirby

Ruth Anne Kirby, 84, of Dongola, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2023, at Integrity Healthcare in Anna. 

She was born on April 27, 1939, in Salem, the daughter of Patrick and Thelma Garrison Ryan. 

She married Ralph “Pat” Kirby. He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2015.

Mrs. Kirby is survived by her children, Lenny Beszczynski, Rowdy Yates, Penny Stamps, Anne Atchison, Joe Gray and Jeff Gray; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings Helen Phillips, Dora Collins and Randy Palmer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Patricia Williams and Betty Toler.

She enjoyed sewing and her pets. While living in Florida, she was a very active member of the American Legion.

The family of Ruth Anne Kirby will host a private celebration of her life. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.
