Russell Keith Johnson
Russell Keith Johnson Sr., 71, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at his home.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1950, in Anniston, Mo., the son of Marshall A. and Mable L. Dover Johnson.
He married Judy Smith on July 21, 1992.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Judy of Jonesboro; his children, Tiffany (Asa) Busby, Leon (Carrie) Alsip, Billie (Angie) Alsip and Brandy Alsip; his grandchildren, Keely Busby, Keaton (Morgan) Busby, Payton, Miles and Ava Alsip, Jenna Trammel, Grace Mowell, Hayden and Adley Lewis, Brandon (Geri) Johnson and Breanna and Chassidy Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Parker Busby, and Colton, Gavin and Ellie Johnson; a sister-in-law, Kay Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Russell Keith “Hokie” Johnson Jr.; and 11 siblings.
Mr. Johnson was a member of the Laborer’s International Union Local 773. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
