Ronald Joe 'Bear' King

Ronald Joe “Bear” King, 65, of Anna, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. 

He was born on March 1, 1955, in Anna, the son of Roy N. and Myrtle A. Treese King.            

Mr. King is survived by his sister, Karen (Garry) Poole of Anna; a brother, Jerry (Pauline) King of Anna; a nephew, David (Becki) Poole; nieces Rebecca Poole and Christina (Ryan) Poole; great-nieces and nephews Kyleigh Myers, Conner Pratt, Carly Pratt, Hunter Luttrull, Willow Luttrull and Meadow Luttrull; aunts and uncles; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.            

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a first mate on a barge line, and later worked at Great Boars of Fire for many years.           

Graveside memorial services for Ronald Joe “Bear” King will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 25, at the Jonesboro Cemetery. 

Graveside military rites will be conducted by Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna and the Marine Corps funeral honor detail.
