Rolly Rodger Sheffer

Rolly Rodger Sheffer, 80, of Anna, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on Jan. 12, 1943, in Cairo, the son of Herman Duncan and Edna Lorene Wilson Sheffer. 

He married Margie Sheffer and she survives.

Mr. Sheffer was a truck driver by profession and worked for Newell and ABF. He loved animals and throwing rocks in the creek with his grandkids. 

He is survived by his wife, Margie; daughter Tracy Rendleman; son Robbie (Becky) Lannom; grandchildren Jamie (Paige) Astin, Colton Lannom and Carter Lannom; great-grandchild Britton Astin; sisters Dixie (Jerry) Miller and Marilyn (Richard) Neisclein; brother Steve (Bobbie) Sheffer; and many other friends and family.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with the Rev. Doug Bridgeman officiating.

Interment followed the funeral service at Friendship Cemetery in Dongola, with military honors by the Anna VFW and the National Guard.

Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
