Roger William Waller
Roger William Waller, 58, of Anna, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, surrounded by his family at home.
He was born on Jan. 27, 1960, in Joliet, the son of Budd and Ann Warren Waller.
He married the love of his life, Tina Sadler, on Sept. 25, 1981, at the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Waller of Anna; a son, Bryant (Francie) Waller of Anna; two grandchildren, Kale and Emma Waller; two brothers, Robert Waller of Plainfield and Richard (Mary Jane) Waller of Anna; one sister, Cheryl (John) Ligon of Anna; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Early in his working career, he served as a Union County Sheriff’s Office deputy for seven years. He then went to work for the Illinois Department of Transportation, where he retired as supervisor of highways. He proudly served for many years on the board of Anna School District No. 37.
He was always a proud father of his son Bryant, but became an even prouder grandfather of Kale and Emma. They were his heart and joy.
Visitation services were held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Cremation followed.
Memorials can be made to the Anna School District No. 37 Foundation.
