Roberta Middleton

Roberta J. Middleton of Anna died Monday, April 10, 2023, at Helia Healthcare of Energy. 

She was born in Anna, the daughter of Willy Everett and Mildred Viola Nimmo Landis. 

She married Albert E. Middleton on May 20, 1957. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2013.

She is survived by her children, Larry Middleton of Utah, Tina Rathjen of Murphysboro and Brad Middleton of Anna; seven grandchildren, Rebecca (Patrick) Nesbit, Ashley (Jason) Walker, Greg (Lisa) Richardson, Cody (Hannah) Middleton, Drew (Emily) Middleton, Summer (Jace) Archuletta and Brandi Middleton; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Middleton of Anna; nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a daughter, Carolyn Doughty; a grandson, Dresden Doughty; sisters Betty Gibbs and Barbara Fisher; and a brother, the Rev. A.W. Landis.

She enjoyed crafts, making wreaths and arranging flowers. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Family and friends gathered at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna from 11 a.m. until noon Thursday, April 13. Graveside funeral services for Roberta Middleton took place immediately after that gathering at the Anna Cemetery.
