Rita Nichols

Rita Nichols, 71, of  Villa Ridge, died on June 13, 2024, at her home, with her family by her side.

She was born on Sept. 25, 1952, the daughter of William and Elsie Holmes.  

She was united in marriage to Roy Nichols on Jan. 2, 1973.

She was a mom, grandma and great-grandma and was loved by her family dearly.  She loved being outdoors, loved music, gardening and cooking Sunday dinner and spending  time with her family. She also loved her dogs she had over the years. She lived life and enjoyed every moment.

She is survived by her family, husband Roy; two daughters, Shona (Mark) Dover and Lona (Stan) Pollard; two sons, Bryant (Jamie) Nichols and David Nichols; one sister, Dianne (Robin) Monan; 11 grandchildren, Masan K. (Teresa), Shalona (Randy), Ashley (Jason), T.J. (Makaila), Kaycee, Mark (Liberty), Mason N. and Madyson; and 13 great-grandchildren Devon, Evan, Drake, Hunter, Blake, Taytum, Lyle, Cooper, Magnolia, Julian, Jase, Mason Jr. and Rylee.

Cremation, with a private memorial service, will be held at a later date.
