Rhetta Kay Copeland

Rhetta Kay Copeland, 61, of Cobden, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on Sept. 12, 1956, in Anna, the daughter of Herchel Wilmer and Ogla Evalee Andrews Chapman.  

She married Larry Copeland. 

She is survived by her sons, Samuel Yates of Vienna and Justin Cunningham of Buncombe; four sisters, Martha (Leroy) Lemmons of Cape Girardeau, Norma (Bill) Burke of Scott City, Mo., Nancy (Allen) Austin of Buncombe and Emma Lou (Odie) Hutchinson of Metropolis; two brothers, Herchel Chapman of Port Richie, Fla., and William Chapman of Wolf Lake; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Herman, Charles, Charles Eugene and Donnie Chapman; and one sister, Irma Chapman.

It was her wish to be cremated.  There will be no services held.
