Randy Echols

Randy Echols, 72, of Dongola, died Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at his sister’s home.

He was born on April 14, 1952, in Anna, the son of Vaughn and Catherine Grear Echols.  

He was a 1970 graduate of Dongola High School.  He retired from Walmart after 22 years and had worked at Super K in Dongola for 13 years.  Through his life, he painted thousands of toy soldiers in great detail and they are on display at his house.

Survivors include his sister, Rosalind (Roger) Lingle; and nieces Scarlett (Nick) Tarpley and Shauna (Jason) Flare. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 17, at the American Legion Cemetery in Dongola, with the Rev. Jay Franklin officiating.
