Ralph Wagner
Ralph Wagner, 59, of Anna, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
He was born on Sept. 3, 1959, in Chicago, the son of Walter and Ruth Smith Wagner.
He started working at the Illinois Veterans Home when the home opened and retired after 20 years of service. He was an avid sports fan. His favorite teams were the Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks and the Bulls. He was a collector of comic books and hats.
Survivors include his daughters, Rhonda (Brandon Craig) Khurana and Deidre Wagner, both of Anna; a son, Ryan Wagner of Anna; grandchildren Gage Khurana, Chasaty Craig, Heaven Brimm, Raven Brimm, Cheyanne Akers and Zach Akers; great-grandchildren Jaelyn Khurana and Jayce Fischer-Khurana; his mother, Ruth Wagner; brothers Randy Smith from Joliet and Jeff Mull from Anna; a sister Geniene (Stan) Mull; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Clif Mull; and his children’s mother, Patti Wagner.
Funeral services were at noon Friday, Oct. 5, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro.
Private inurnment will be at a later date at the Jonesboro Cemetery.
